We spoke with April, an educator and lifelong Angeleno, about why her dream of buying a home may be out of reach. Here's what she shared: 

"I have a pretty decent salary. And yet...I can't buy the home that I want. I'm not even asking for a lot. I'm just asking for a simple home, cause I grew up in apartments in L.A. We grew up really poor, so we grew up in apartments. And the my dream is always have a backyard."
